Dear P.S. 120 Families,

Next week, we will be administering the iReady Diagnostic Assessment #2 to all students in Kindergarten to Grade 5. On Monday 1/25 and Tuesday 1/26, your child will take the ELA and Math assessments remotely, with a makeup window on Wednesday 1/27. Your child's teacher will communicate the specific testing schedule for your child's class, which will allow children to test in small groups with the teacher's assistance. We are asking for your assistance as well to help your child navigate to the iReady Diagnostic Assessment #2.

Why is my child taking the iReady Diagnostic Assessment again?
Collecting a second round of data helps us see how your child has progressed from the beginning of the school year, and gives us a current data point to create targeted instruction for your child moving forward.

Will my child's iReady Diagnostic Assessment results affect his/her grades?
No - iReady is a formative assessment (used to inform instruction) and does NOT affect your child's grades. It is important to allow your child to take the test independently, to show exactly what he/she knows and can do.
