School Counseling

Woodburn

Guidance Counselor, Rohan Woodburn

I was born in NYC and grew up in the Bronx. I have lived in both the Bronx and Westchester. I taught for 13 years before joining the PS 120 Q community. I graduated from Binghamton University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and I have two masters: a Masters in Teaching Childhood Education from Iona University and a Masters in School Counseling from Lehman College. In my spare time you can find me enjoying music and dancing. I love spending time with my son and my kryptonite is donuts.

Guidance Counselor, Xiumei (Mimi) Zhu

I immigrated to the United States at a young age, and had lived in Queens, Long Island, and now Brooklyn. I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology from Hunter College and my Master of Science Education Degree in School Counseling with Bilingual extension in Mandarin from Brooklyn College. I always knew I wanted to work in the education field, but not necessarily as a classroom teacher. I joined P.S. 120 in 2017 as a School Counselor. I love working with kids and helping them understand their emotions and how it might affect their learning and growing. When I am not wearing my school counselor superhero cape, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Although I enjoy being out and about, traveling and seeing what the world has to offer, I love staying home and cuddle with my "growing too fast" daughter, Everly and my "sassy spoiled-rotten" dog, Bella the most.
