Third Grade Teachers
301, Ms. Raia
I was born and raised here in Queens, currently I live in Long Island. This is my 28th year teaching; I started in Astoria and now here in Flushing. I started teaching at PS 120 in 2014. I attended St. John's University where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and I also received my master's degree as a Reading Specialist there as well. In my spare time I enjoy reading, baking, going for long walks (preferably at the beach) and spending time with my family.
302, Ms. Albert
I was born far out on Long Island, but am proud to say I grew up in Flushing, Queens. I have been teaching for more than 15 years and most of those years have been spent as a 4th Grade Teacher. I received my graduate degree from Fordham University, Lincoln Center. I enjoy spending time with family, friends, my dog Willow, following elite gymnastics, going to pilates classes, and quilting.

I grew on the south shore of Nassau County, but now live in Queens. During that time, I attended both Long Island University: C. W. Post and received my masters at Hofstra University. I have been teaching at PS 120 since 2011 and I am happy with my growth here. I am most happy that I found my passion here, which is teaching 5th grade science. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, in particular my two children, seeing new places through vacations, and reading historical nonfiction books.

306, Ms. Mooney
I grew up right here in Queens, only 10 minutes from P.S. 120, and still live nearby with my family. I am a proud Queens College Graduate, where I earned both my bachelor's and master's degree. My teaching career began in 2012. I spent 2 years working in a private school in Queens teaching 3rd grade, and then 10 years in District 21 teaching grades 2-5 over the years. In my spare time, you'll find me spending time with my husband and our two daughters. We love to go to the park, try out new restaurants, and have movie nights! I am so excited to join P.S. 120 and be part of this wonderful community.

308, Ms. Lam
As a proud graduate of PS120, I am so excited to be back at the school that sparked my joy for learning! I started my teaching journey as a private school teacher in the city. After graduating with my Masters from Hunter College, I’ve finally made my way back to Queens, a community that I deeply love. On the weekends, I love spending time with my puppy Shadow, the Shiba. I also love nature walks, and weightlifting at the gym!
