Fifth Grade Teachers

501, Ms. Kump (Math)

I grew up on Long Island, but moved to Queens a while back. I began my teaching career in South Ozone Park, where I worked as a Staff Developer and Math Coach. I have also had the privilege of working as a Math Coach here at PS 120 before becoming a fourth grade Math and Science teacher. I have been an Adjunct Professor at Queens College teaching Math Methods for Elementary Teachers and a Mathematics Fellow for the City of New York. I am a proud graduate of Cornell University, Queens College (MS in Elementary Ed.), and Bankstreet College (Masters in Math Leadership and Supervision). I live nearby with my daughter and cat, affectionately known as "Bad Kitty."

503, Ms. Ianni (Math),

I was born in NYC and grew up on Long Island. I started PS 120Q after a career change from the business field. After graduating with a business degree, I decided that teaching would be my future. Returning to school, I earned a Masters in Education and then a Masters in ESL. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, especially Europe because I love historical sites. Playing Candy Crush is my favorite indulgence because I love challenges.

508, Ms. Lam

As a proud graduate of PS120, I am so excited to be back at the school that sparked my joy for learning! I started my teaching journey as a private school teacher in the city. After graduating with my Masters from Hunter College, I’ve finally made my way back to Queens, a community that I deeply love. On the weekends, I love spending time with my puppy Shadow, the Shiba. I also love nature walks, and weightlifting at the gym!
