PS 120Q Cell Phone Policy

Cell phones, smartwatches, and any other communication devices may not be used while at school. If you feel your child should have a cell phone, it must remain away, in their pocket or backpack, and TURNED OFF while at school and during on-site afterschool programs. Texting and videotaping are not permitted anytime during the school day. Failure to follow these guidelines will result in parent notification and confiscation of the device. The cell phone may be retrieved by the parent at the end of the day. This policy is in effect throughout the entire school day including after school. Students who would like to contact their parents during the day will always be permitted under the supervision of school personnel.
